How can i convert my steeringwheel cruise control buttons to control my stereo?

I have a 1985 crown victoria, and a pioneer head unit.





steering wheel has no airbag, and the buttons are


[on off] [resume] [set accell]





i would use the on off to control the volume, up and down, and the set accell to skip tracks. i was going to secure my remote in the radios path and wire the buttons on the circut board to the steeringwheel buttons. would that work? please help thank youHow can i convert my steeringwheel cruise control buttons to control my stereo?
