What button(s) do I press on my tv remote control to get my dvd to play on my tv?

I pressed imput like I used to on my old tv to watch dvd's, but it doesn't work on this tv. It's a flat screen sharp tv. Can someone please help me with this?What button(s) do I press on my tv remote control to get my dvd to play on my tv?
