y'knoww the lil speaker symbol which goes in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. well mine has suddenly dissappeared!

I have XP, but I think I can help. ^-^
Go to the control panel and click sounds and audio devices and somewhere there it should say ';Place volume icon in the taskbar';
Sorry if it's not the same with Vista.
