You know how in PCs you hit control and c to copy, but you can't on the Macbook. I want to make it so that I can use the control and c botton to copy and control and v to paste. I'm sure there is a program or an option to change the buttons to do other stuff. I remember seeing a video somewhere but forgot. How can I make the control button to work as the command botton on my Macbook?
NOT likely.
Macs use the Cmd button (aka the Apple key) which is heaps better than using the control key.
It's not a hard adjustment to make. It just requires a bit of ';Thinking differently'; and forgetting some of that PC stuff.
Personally I prefer to do a Cmd + S or Cmd + A for select all. Its EASIER since the Cmd button is located next to the space bar which you use with your thumb for spaces when typing.
It is known as Human Interface Design - figuring out the ergonomics of how the fingers are placed on the keyboard when typing. - if you look at it, your thumb is naturally closer to the Command key than the Control key in its natural position on the keyboard.
The Cmd button was actually in use before the Windows Control Key was ever invented - Microsoft needed a ';point of difference'; with their new IBM PC.How can I make the control button to work as the command botton on my Macbook?
you can in the keyboard prefence choose modifier and change control to command and it will do what the command key does but by pressing the control key.
