Is this the remote that came with your set, or a ';universal';?
If universal, you may not have it programmed correctly.
If came with set, may be worn out, broken, or have weak batteries, as these things can cause this problem.When i push any button on my samsung remote control the tv turns on or off?
check for a stuck power button on the remote
